DIY Alphabet Pie Topper

Materiales:
-Cartulina Gris oscuro y claro
-Listón Verde y dorado
-Pinzas para la ropa
-Lápiz, regla, tijeras y pegamento blanco
-Pasta de letras
-Impresiones o ilustraciones de aves
-Palitos de madera

Paso 1: Crear arco-iris

Materials:
-Dark and light gray cardboard
-Green and Gold Ribbon
-
Clothes Pegs
-Pencil, ruler, scissors and white glue
-Alphabet pasta
-Print or illustrations of birds
-Wood-sticks

Step 1: Create a rainbow
Draw a rainbow on the dark gray cardstock and cut it out. Then draw another less pronounced on light gray cardstock and cut it out. These will serve as the base for the lyrics. You can you do different forms if you wish.

Step 2: Paste lyrics
Search for the letters of the message you want to add, place them in order, and with a little white glue, paste each letter into place. You can place small dots of glue and go placing on each corresponding letter. We recommend that you first measure the message. Let dry the letters on a flat surface.

Step 3: Cut Details
Cut two illustrations of birds or some other illustration that you like. Cut two strips of each ribbon in total you will have four strips (two green and two gold). Fold in half and put some glue in the middle, then stick the gold ribbon on the green. Let it dry.

Step 4: Paste All
Place one of the wooden sticks, the ribbons, the paper strips and finally the birds illustrations. Between each layer placed some glue and holds everything with clothes pegs. Do the same on the other side of the sign and let dry.

DIY Coloring Flowers

Materiales:
-Flores Blancas (Los claveles son los mejores)
-Cutter o exacto
-Colorante Vegetal

Materials:
-White Flowers (Carnations are best)
-Cutter
-Food coloring
-Glasses with warm water

Step 1: Cut the stem
To create the rainbow flowers, makes a cut in the stems of the flowers, remember not to cut completely from the stem. The more colors you want to add, more cuts will have to do. If you want to colored the flower with only one color, make small cuts at the base of the stem,
for the flower to absorb the dye.

Step 2: Water Coloring
Fill the glasses with a cup of warm water, add about 20 drops of food coloring (red, yellow, blue or you can even combine them) Mix the water to have a uniform color.

Step 3: Let the Flowers
Carefully place a portion of the stem within each color, for example, if you decided to use only the three basic colors (Red, Blue and Yellow), the stem will have three sections, placed one on the glass with red dye, one in the yellow and another one in the blue. If you decide to color a flower of each color, place it within each glass with the color you selected.

DIY Glitter Vases

Materiales:
-Envases de vidrio (Preferible con textura lisa)
-Glitter o Diamantina/Brillantina
-Brocha de espuma
-Cinta para pintor
-ModPodge (Lo encuentran en tiendas de manualidades)

Envase 1

Materials:-Glass containers (Preferably with smooth texture)-Glitter-Foam-Brush-Painter's Tape-ModPodge (I found at craft stores)

Glass containers 1Step 1: Apply the ModPodgeWith the foam brush apply a thin layer of ModPodge on the interior walls of the vase.

Step 2: Apply the glitterPlace a generous amount of glitter, begins to rotate the container and tapped the sides to get the glitter covers the surface. If necessary add a little more glitter until the entire surface is covered.
Step 3: Allow to dryAllowed to dry the container, it takes a few hours, depending on the thickness of the layer of ModPodge. When is completely dry you can catch the extra glitter and save it for reuse.
If you miss any spots on the vase, simply apply some ModPodge and glitter to cover it. Ready!
Glass containers 2Step 1: Place the tapeWith the masking tape cover the area that you dont want to cover with glitter. You can cover with glitter some part of the surface or make a pattern, remember the parts covering the tape are those left without glitter.
Step 2: Apply the ModPodgeWith the foam brush applies a thin, uniform layer of ModPodge on the outer surface of the container.
Step 3: Apply the glitterPlace paper or something similar to cover the work area. Gradually puts glitter on the container, roll over the container and continued adding more glitter to cover the entire surface. When finished simply fold the paper into a funnel and filter all the leftover glitter back into the bottle.
Step 4: Allow to dryAllowed to dry container, it took a few hours, depending on the thickness of the layer of ModPodge. If you've been somewhere without cover, apply some ModPodge and glitter to cover it. Ready! Now you have two ideas to renovate and reuse glass containers as vases, for your makeup brushes, as ornaments or whatever you want.

Toshiko Horiuchi

Web

The history of these playgrounds began when the artist Toshiko Horiuchi made a large scale crochet art exhibition on a gallery, suddenly two children asked if they could climb up to the enormous sculpture. With some nerves the artist allowed the children to go up, suddenly the sculpture came alive. The swinging and stretching that came with the weight of the small childrens, forming pouches and other unexpected transformation that the artist would never have imagined, sounds of their laughter and joy of exploring a new space game, inspired her to create these huge playgrounds. Thats when Toshiko Horiuchi  began working in collaboration with engineers and partners to create these fantastic playgrounds.
