DesignMAXX una compañía coreana ha diseñado "Smart Pebbles". Inspiradas en las piedras uno de los elementos mas comunes en la naturaleza. Las Smart Pebbles son elaboradas a base de silicón de diferentes colores, lo que ayuda que sean antideslizantes y resistentes al calor. Además cuentan con un hueco en uno de sus lados, este hueco permite guardar cosas pequeñas o ayudar a tener un mejor agarre a las superficies. Simplemente pulsa el centro de la piedra y esta se sujetara firmemente a cualquier superficie, una función similar a las ventosas de plástico. La variedad de usos de las Smart Pebbles es muy grande, puedes utilizarlas para guardar cosas, como salvamanteles, soporte para tu teléfono, soporte y para mantener ventilada tu laptop... incluso puedes colocar una piedra sobre otra para tener mas posibilidades.

The Smart Pebbles are created from different colored silicone, which made them non-slippery and heat resistant. They also have a hole in one side, this hole can hold smaller items or help you have a better grip on surfaces. Just press the center of the stone and this is rigidly secured to any surface, a function similar to the plastic cups. The variety of uses of Smart Pebbles is very large, you can use them to store things such as coasters, stand for your phone, support and ventilated to keep your laptop ... You can even place a stone upon another to have more possibilities.

Colleen Jordan es la creadora de Wearable Planter un estudio de arte y diseño que se encuentra en Atlanta, GA. Collen cree que el mundo sería un lugar mejor si la gente apreciara un poco más la naturaleza. Todos sus productos son elaborados utilizando una tecnología emergente conocida como impresión en 3D. Esta tecnología permite crear artículos con formas más complejas. El uso de materiales poliméricos como el nylon puede ser un tanto contradictorio con su idea ecológica, pero tiene sentido. Es un material que dura miles de años, aunque casi siempre es empleado para elaborar objetos de vida corta, es por eso que Colleen pretende que sus objetos estén destinados a soportar y durar mucho tiempo.

Colleen Jordan is the creator of Wearable Planter an art and design studio located in Atlanta, GA. Colleen believes that the world would be a better place if people appreciate a little bit more the nature. All their products are made using an emerging technology known as 3D printing. This technology lets you to create items with more complex forms. The use of polymeric materials such as nylon can be somewhat inconsistent with its ecological idea, but it makes sense. It is a material that lasts thousands of years, but almost always is used to develop short-lived objects, that's why Colleen intended that the objects are destined to endure and last for along time.

Me encanta escribir post como este, donde una idea se convierte en un producto real y exitoso. Tal es el caso de estos simpáticos gatitos para smartphones. Un día @nekomura_otako subió una imagen y un tweet que decía "Me gustaría tener un accesorio para los auriculares con forma de gato como esta". La respuesta a ese tweet fue increíble, a mucha gente le gusto la idea y la quería también. Muy pronto esta idea llego a oídos de una compañía que se ofreció para hacer realidad aquella idea. Se realizaron las maquetas y muy pronto se llego al producto final. La verdad es que el producto final quedo fantástico, y es increíble como una idea puede llegar a ser realidad gracias a las redes sociales.

I love writing post like this, where an idea becomes a real and successful product. Such is the case of these cute kittens for smartphones. One day @ nekomura_otako post an image and a tweet that said “I would like to have cat-shaped earphone-jack parts like this.” The answer to that tweet was amazing, a lot of people liked the idea and wanted too. Very soon this idea came to the ears of a company that offered to make that idea reality. The models were made and soon came to the final product. The truth is that the final product looks great, and it's amazing how an idea can become reality through social networks.
