May Ann Licudine (Mall) es una artista de la ilustración de La Unión, Filipinas. Después de estudiar arte durante cinco años, Mall comenzó a tomar encargos de clientes en todo el mundo. May Ann Licudine is a lowbrow illustration artist from La Union,
Philippines. After
studying art for five years, May started to take commissions from
clients worldwide. The artist's works reflect her strong Japanese influence and show
girls with long dark hair and pensive faces, nature, and animals. May
takes her inspiration from great artists such as Winsor McCay and
Maurice Sendak, and the amazing films of Japanese director and manga
artist, Hayao Miyazaki. May’s art has been showcased in galleries across the USA and Philippines, and she has won several notable awards for her outstanding illustration style. “My deepest feelings are often present in everything that I create. I
am to touch people's hearts with my artwork; I hope that I will be
able to make them feel something when they see my paintings. That is why
some of the main motifs you can see in my compositions are dreams,
nature, and emotions”.
