Para este proyecto, necesitaras:

• Tela de algodón blanca (o cualquier otra tela no sintética) se corta en tiras.                                Puedes utilizar la tela de muselina.
• Tinte para ropa o pintura de telas líquido.
• Agua y platos para teñir la tela.

1. Prepara las tiras de tela enrollándolas en rollos pequeños que quepan dentro de platos. Si estás utilizando tintura de ropa, sigue las instrucciones en el paquete para prepararla (lo más probable es que se necesite agua caliente). Aquí se utilizó pintura de telas líquido,se mezcla con agua en una proporción de 1 a 2. Entre más agua añadas, más claro será el color. Sólo experimenta un poco.
2. Sumerge los rollos de tela en el tinte, como se muestra en la imagen. Para las cintas de dos colores, deja que la pintura gotee un poco, luego gira el rollo y mete el otro lado. Para degradados mas grandes, simplemente dejar que el rollo se siente en la tintura por un momento hasta que la pintura está impregnada en el rollo hasta la mitad.
3. Para colores aun mas suaves, coloca el rollo de tela en agua primero, y luego colócalo en la pintura. Experimenta con nuevas formas para conseguir nuevos efectos. Juega un poco.Deja que los rollitos se sequen en una hoja de papel hasta que no esté mojados, sólo húmedos. Desenróllalos y cuelga las cintas para que se sequen.

For this project, you will need:

• White cotton fabric (or any other non-synthetic fabric) torn or cut into strips.                                 You can use muslin fabric (available at craft stores) or sheets
• Cloth dye or liquid fabric paint
• Water and dipping dishes

1. Prepare your fabric strips by rolling them into small rolls that will fit your dipping dishes.If you’re using fabric dye, follow the instructions on the package to prepare the dye (most likely you will need hot water). They used liquid fabric paint and mixed it with water in a ratio of 1:2. The more water you add, the lighter the color will be. Just experiment a little.
2. Dip the fabric rolls into the dye as shown on the picture. For the two colored ribbon, let the paint drip off a little, then turn the roll around and dip the other side into the other dye. For larger gradients, just let the roll sit in the dye for a moment until the paint is soaked through the roll about half way.
3. For softer color, soak the fabric roll in water first, then dip shortly into paint. Try out different ways to get variating effects. Play around. Let the dipped rolls dry on a paper sheet until they are not wet anymore, only moist. Unroll and hang the ribbons to dry.
